Nebraska Woman Rushes Beagle Dumped On Highway To The Vet, Her Diagnosis Is Disturbing

Driving along a busy highway, you rarely expect to see an animal in need trapped in traffic. Yet, that’s exactly what happened to Elle Worley from Nebraska.

One day, she saw a little Beagle running down the side of the road. She immediately pulled over, got out, and approached the dog. That’s when she came to a shocking realization: the pup’s mouth was bleeding.

Elle rushed the Beagle to the veterinary clinic, hoping for good news. Sadly, what the vet said left her deeply disturbed.

Diagnosis That Shocked Everyone

When Elle found the dog, later named Juni, she was utterly heartbroken.

Aside from bleeding, the dog was extremely malnourished and looked completely shut down. She was barely moving, and gladly accepted Elle’s help.

“She was alone, extremely malnourished, and bleeding from the mouth. I wasn’t sure if she had been dumped, jumped from a vehicle, or had gotten lost—but it was immediately clear she needed urgent help,” Elle wrote on the Spotfund platform.

After loading the dog into her car, Elle took her straight to the vet. Little did she know that the dog’s diagnosis would shatter her heart into a million pieces.

According to the Nebraska vet, Juni was shot twice in the jaw, and the bullets missed her brain by mere inches. To process this extent of brutality was extremely hard for Elle. She knew Juni needed medical treatment, and time was of the essence.

Aside from pain meds, Juni needed urgent jaw reconstruction surgery.

That’s why Elle started a fundraiser, hoping to collect the funding needed for Juni’s treatment. She posted about Juni’s case on her social media, only for her posts to go viral within just a few days.

People from all parts of the country reached out, wanting to help this little girl recover as soon as possible. Just like that, Juni, the dog with no friends, not standing a chance, now had the entire community supporting her!
