Shelter Dog Sits by The Door “Waiting for Someone” to Save Him While Time Runs Out
A senior pit bull named Rocky spent his days sitting by his kennel door, hoping someone would notice him. “Rocky sits by the door every day waiting for someone to ask to meet him…but no one ever does,” his rescuers said.
The poor pup’s sad face and hopeful eyes broke everyone’s hearts when they saw him on TikTok.
Rocky’s Tough Journey
Rocky didn’t have much luck in life. His first owner tried to sell him on Facebook Marketplace, and his second owner gave him up to a shelter in Phoenix.
Things got really scary when Rocky ended up on a special list at the shelter. “Per shelter policies, Rocky was given a five-day deadline,” said Katie Gerlach, who helps dogs at the shelter.
This meant Rocky only had five days to find a new home, or something terrible might happen to him.
The Video That Changed Everything
Someone filmed Rocky sitting by his door, looking super sad. The video went up on TikTok and loads of people saw it – more than 241,000 views!
The video showed Rocky sitting there, head down, then looking up at the camera with the saddest eyes you’ve ever seen.
