Woman Finds Shivering Creature Next To Her Basement, Then Learns Its True identity
On a cold snowy day in Pennsylvania, Christina Eyth noticed paw prints in the snow leading to her door. Concerned, she followed them and found a shivering, mange-covered animal outside her basement. Unsure what it was, but seeing it needed help, she brought it inside, gave it food and water, and posted about it online.
A local rescue group responded and took the animal to a wildlife center for care and testing. Though no one could identify the creature right away, they treated it gently for mange and malnutrition. Surprisingly, after a few days, the animal escaped the facility.
Weeks later, test results confirmed it was a coyote. Christina had no regrets. “No matter the results, I wouldn’t have changed anything I did to help him,” she said.
