The song is sung by Lauretta in the opera after she and her father argue about Rinuccio, the boy she loves. Her father disapproves of the boy’s family and threatens to take her away from Rinuccio.
This stuff is heady. A normal nine-year-old would rarely sing this song, but here we are. I am genuinely amazed by Victory Brinker.
