Daniel’s voice was quiet. “I was wrong.”
The church was silent.
Adam stood tense beside me, the hurt in his eyes unmistakable.
I clutched the letter, the photograph still resting in the palm of my hand — the girl I used to be staring back at me.
A version of me I hadn’t seen in years.
I looked from Daniel to Adam.
The man who once broke my heart.
And the man who had helped piece it back together.
My voice trembled as I spoke, more to myself than anyone else.
“I loved you, Daniel. I did. But I’m not that girl anymore.”
I turned to Adam, whose jaw was tight, but his eyes searched mine.
“I’m choosing today. I’m choosing now. I’m choosing you.”
I handed the box back to Daniel gently.
“Thank you… but it’s time to let go.”
And then, with shaking hands but steady heart, I walked down the aisle — toward the man waiting for me at the altar.
