Border Patrol Agent Rescues Skeletal Puppy, Turning Her Into The Happiest Princess

Border Patrol Agent Saves Lifeless Puppy From Death, Giving Her a Second Chance at Life

Tika went from hopeless to lucky in just one day.

This fragile, skeletal dog was near death, barely clinging to life. Severely emaciated and covered in wounds from a brutal animal attack, she had already given up on the possibility of survival. Her future seemed all but gone… until a compassionate Border Patrol agent crossed her path.

When the Border Patrol agent first found Tika, it was truly heartbreaking. The left side of her face had been torn away, leaving her vulnerable to a dangerous infection.

“Sweet, TIKA was rescued by a Border Patrol agent in her last minutes on earth…she was agonizing,” The Buddy Foundation, based in Eagle Pass, Texas, shared on Facebook.

The details of the attack remain unclear, but the extent of Tika’s injuries was undeniable.

Without hesitation, the agent rushed her to a Texas shelter, saving Tika’s life in the nick of time. Had it been just one more day in the wild, she wouldn’t have made it.

“Tika is a walking miracle, and we’re so glad we found her when we did. She would not have survived another day out there in the condition she was in,” her rescuers said.

Tika still had a long road ahead. Unable to eat or stand on her own, she was transferred to a local veterinary clinic for expert care.

For the first ten days, Tika remained on IV fluids, receiving round-the-clock attention. Slowly, thanks to the unwavering care from her team, she started to improve.

The moment she ate from a syringe for the first time was nothing short of miraculous. It marked the beginning of her recovery, a sign that Tika would conquer her battle and emerge victorious.
