Nubby’s life almost ended before it began. Born without front legs and unable to nurse properly, the tiny pup faced serious challenges from his very first hours. At just four hours old, a veterinarian suggested euthanasia, believing the newborn’s chances were too slim.
But Lou and Mark Robinson from Texas saw something more in Nubby — a will to live and a spark worth fighting for. The couple, known for rescuing and fostering unwanted dogs, decided they couldn’t give up on him.Taking Nubby home, Lou and Mark provided round-the-clock care. Using a bottle for feeding and offering constant affection and warmth, they stayed by his side every moment. “His eyes opened, his ears grew. He could bark, sniff, and respond to sounds,” Lou told The Dodo.
