While driving on a busy highway in Alachua, Florida, Officer Thomas Stanfield spotted a tiny black kitten lying in the middle of the road, frozen in fear as cars sped by. At first, he thought it had been hit, but then noticed its ears were up.
Stanfield turned on his emergency lights and backed up. A nearby truck driver also stopped to help by blocking a lane. Stanfield quickly ran out, grabbed the kitten, and brought it safely back to his car.
He believes the kitten may have fallen from a car engine. Thankfully, he was able to rescue it just in time from the dangerous road.
