Couple Riding ATVs Realizes Little Family Is Chasing Them, Asking For Help
Natalea Bowling and Dalton Polly, owners of Paynegap Powersports, were out riding their ATVs near their home in Kentucky when they noticed three little fluffballs running beside them. They pulled over to investigate — and soon discovered an entire family of puppies living near the train tracks.
“We seen three and stopped to get out, and [we] looked up the road and four were running to us,” Bowling told “They were very happy to see us.”
The puppies were skinny and hungry but otherwise seemed to be OK, and the couple guessed they probably hadn’t been out there too long. They assumed someone had dumped the puppies there, and when the fluffy little family spotted the couple riding by on their ATVs, they took the opportunity to ask for help.
Bowling and Polly knew there was no way they could leave the puppies out there — so they decided to load them onto the ATV and drive them home.

After the initial excitement of seeing their rescuers wore off, the puppies were a little shy, and the couple worked to gain their trust before they were able to get them all safely onto the floor of the ATV. After that, it was surprisingly smooth sailing all the way home.
“Honestly, I was shocked, but they did so good,” Bowling said. “They all laid [on] the floor board until one of them came up and sat in my lap the whole way driving home.”
The couple is now caring for the puppies, who are around 8 or 9 weeks old, until they can find them all loving homes — and they’re both so grateful that they were riding by at exactly the right moment.
