Samantha, a 4-year-old bully mix, spent over a year at Miami Dade Animal Services, growing more heartbroken as she was continually overlooked.
Her sad shelter photos caught the attention of Humans and Animals United (HAAU), a foster-based rescue that decided to give her a chance. When a volunteer picked her up, Sammy looked just as sad in person—but once in the car, she began to smile.
After receiving medical care and moving into a foster home, Sammy thrived through training and love, though a forever home still eluded her.
