Dog Returned To Rescue After 4 Months For Wanting To Share Bed With New Parents

In June, a senior dog named Twinkle was found wandering alone in Miami and taken in by True and Faithful Pet Rescue Mission. Malnourished and with rotting teeth, she was given surgery, care, and love — and soon transformed into a sweet, healthy pup.

By September, Twinkle was adopted by a seemingly great family. But just before Christmas, they returned her, saying she cried at night because she wanted to sleep in their bed — something they didn’t allow for any of their dogs.

“Twinkle was beyond devastated and confused,” the rescue shared. She sat shaking in a corner, looking back toward the fence where she was handed over.

All Twinkle wanted was to cuddle at night, and the rescue team was heartbroken to see her so sad. They had loved her from the start and couldn’t understand how anyone could give her up.
