Meet Pitufo — a 14-year-old shelter dog from Argentina who finally found a loving home after more than a decade of waiting.
Rescued in 2012 by Silvana, cofounder of Hogar Corazón Animal in Buenos Aires, Pitufo faced challenges from the start. At around 5 years old, he was often overlooked in favor of puppies, and the shelter struggled with limited visibility due to its small size and the lack of social media at the time.
Even when interest arose, many adopters didn’t meet the shelter’s standards. For Silvana, ensuring her dogs found truly loving homes was always the top priority — no matter how long it took.
