Fox Stuck In Tire Almost Loses Hope That She’ll Ever Be Free

On a typical spring day in Shoreham, England, East Sussex Wildlife Rescue & Ambulance Service (WRAS) got a call about a fox cub stuck in a rusty wheel. Her head was trapped in the wheel’s center hole, which still had the tire attached.

WRAS contacted Brighton Hove Wildlife Advice & Rescue Service for help, and both teams rushed to the scene. Seeing how tightly the tire was stuck, they transported the cub to a veterinary center.

At the East Sussex WRAS Casualty Centre, they saw the cub’s face was swollen and had a wound behind one ear. The team knew freeing her wouldn’t be easy, but they were ready to help.
