Last week, a dog in distress was discovered by Pawtcake after receiving a message on their WhatsApp.

The poor animal, tethered by a long cable around its neck, was also burdened with a large tumor. Fearful and skittish, the dog sought refuge behind a panel in an abandoned building.

Rescuers skillfully coaxed the dog out by offering food, eventually leading him into a secure trap. Once captured, the severely undernourished dog was given food to help ease his anxiety. Without delay, the rescuers transported the dog to a veterinary clinic for immediate attention.

At the clinic, it was determined that the tumor weighed at least 12 pounds. The following day, veterinarians prepared the dog for surgery to remove the growth. The procedure was straightforward, and the dog proved to be incredibly brave.
