Golfers Abandon Game When They See A Furry-Someone Stranded In Creek
A peaceful day of golf in Garland, Texas took an unexpected turn when players at Fire Wheel Golf Course spotted a dog stranded at the edge of Rowlett Creek—surrounded by water and a steep rock wall, with no way to escape.
Concerned golfers called Garland Animal Services, who quickly arrived with the Garland Fire Department. A firefighter bravely crossed the creek, gently coaxed the scared pup, and eventually carried him to safety.
Thankfully, the dog, named Bubba, was wearing a collar with his owner’s info. His grateful owner, Joan Landry, had been searching for him for over two days.
Meanwhile, residents six miles away in Sachse were also on the lookout for Bubba, showing just how many people had joined in the effort to bring him home.
Bubba’s rescue is a touching reminder of how a community—and a bit of compassion—can make all the difference.
