Little Lost Brothers Hid In The Brush Until A Hiker Stopped To Help

A month ago, Elizabeth Wendell got a frantic call from her cousin, who had found two abandoned guinea pigs while hiking. He managed to catch one, but the other ran off. He asked Wendell for help.

Elizabeth and her sister, Lucia, rushed to the trail and searched for the second guinea pig. They knew it would be hard to catch him since he was so scared.

“When we saw him, he ran deeper into the forest,” Wendell said. “We were nervous — birds were around, and once he was gone, that might be it.” They tried using lettuce and guinea pig sounds, and eventually, Wendell was able to corner and catch him.

The guinea pig was cold, dirty, and thin. They kept him warm on the ride home. It was clear the animals had been dumped, with a cardboard box nearby. The frightened little guy finally relaxed when reunited with his brother.
