I’m Hanna Stone, and what was meant to be a family fishing trip turned into a weekend of revenge—and my husband spending it alone.
Jack and I planned this trip for quality family time, especially with our 5-month-old baby. But 40 minutes into the drive, Jack got a call. “Yeah, I’ll be there soon,” he said. When I asked, he casually admitted it was Heath, a coworker he had invited—without telling me.
Furious, I told Jack to turn the car around. This trip was about reconnecting as a family, not socializing with a coworker over beer. Back home, Jack fumed, but I had a plan.
“You go on the trip with Heath,” I said. “The kids and I will have our own getaway.”

When we returned, Jack was livid. “I came back Friday evening, but you were gone!”
