Pregnant pittie mama staggers up to rescuers last minute and begs for help
A man noticed a poor, pregnant pitbull wandering near a field by his house. Worried about her, he decided to help and sent an email to Hope For Paws, a rescue organization that helps animals in need.

The man explained that the pitbull, who was clearly pregnant, needed urgent help. Hope For Paws quickly sent volunteers to check on her.
When the volunteers arrived, the pitbull walked right up to them, as if she had been waiting for them. She was cold, hungry, and all alone, but she trusted the volunteers completely. Without hesitation, she got into their vehicle, ready to leave her tough life behind.
Once Waffles arrived at the rescue center, she was cleaned up and given an ultrasound to check on her puppies. Even though she was nervous, Waffles stayed calm and trusted the people helping her.
During the ultrasound, Waffles couldn’t stop smiling! The vet confirmed that she was going to give birth very soon—likely within 10 days.

One of the volunteers decided to take Waffles home so she could rest in a safe and comfortable place. That same night, Waffles gave birth to her puppies!
It was a perfect Mother’s Day for Waffles, who delivered her litter without any problems. Watching her care for her puppies after everything she had been through was truly heartwarming.
Hope For Paws, based in Los Angeles, works hard to rescue animals in need and stop animal abuse through education. Thanks to them, Waffles and her puppies now have a safe place to call home.
