Rescuers Jump After Finding A ‘Little Gargoyle’ Staring At Them On The Street

Just before Halloween, Stray Rescue of St. Louis (SRSL) spotted a strange figure in a neighborhood — a hunched, scared dog that looked like a Halloween decoration.

“He was hunched up like a little gargoyle,” SRSL wrote.

The dog, later named Guillermo de la Cruz, was too injured to run. SRSL’s Donna Lochmann gently leashed him, and though he was nervous, he sighed with relief once in the rescue car.

At SRSL’s shelter, Guillermo received constant care for his wounds and low weight. With love and treatment, he transformed into a happy, healthy pup.

“Guillermo de la Cruz is a show-stopper,” SRSL wrote. “A choco chonk with puppy eyes and a huge noggin!”
