A father gave his daughter a car—and a life lesson she’d never forget.
“Before I give it to you,” he said, “take it to a used car lot, a pawn shop, and an auto club. Pretend you’re selling it. Tell me what they offer.”
At the used lot, she was offered $1,000—“It’s too old,” they said.
At the pawn shop, only $100—“Not worth much.”
But at the auto club, collectors offered $100,000.
She returned home, stunned.
Her father smiled. “This car is a Nissan Skyline R34. Rare, iconic. But not everyone sees its value.”
Then he added the lesson:“If you’re not being valued, don’t get upset. It just means you’re in the wrong place. Never stay where you’re not respected.”
