A nervous woman in the window seat handed me her tiny, fluffy dog, asking if I could hold him while she grabbed something. I agreed—but she never came back.

We pieced it all together. No answers about the woman on the plane—but Oliver was finally home. She tried to thank me with money, but honestly, I was just glad he was safe.
