This Pittie Makes His Bed Every Day To Show He’s A Good Boy Ready For Adoption
Being an overlooked dog in a shelter isn’t easy, especially for a sweet and friendly pup like Rush. He arrived at SICSA Pet Adoption & Wellness Center in Dayton, Ohio, as a stray and was later returned after a short adoption. Since then, he’s been waiting for a forever home.
Despite seeing other dogs leave with new families, Rush never gave up hope. One day, he did something heart-melting — he used his mouth to neatly make his bed, trying to impress potential adopters. A volunteer filmed the moment, and the video quickly went viral, touching millions.
Thanks to that video, adoption applications poured in. Eventually, a couple from Dayton, Angie and Ronnie Wallace, who had recently lost their dog, saw the video and instantly felt a connection. When they met Rush, the bond was immediate — he was finally going home for good.
Now living his best life, Rush hasn’t forgotten his shelter family. He visited them again, showering them with kisses, showing he remembered their love. Everyone always knew he was a good boy — he just needed the right people to see it.
