Tiny Ball Of Fuzz Drowning In Bayou Clings To Reeds, Hoping For A Miracle
Recently, a Good Samaritan in Houston, Texas, noticed a little face poking out from a flooded bayou. A tiny puppy named Eddy desperately clung to a clump of reeds, shivering as water rushed around him. The passerby waded in, grabbed Eddy from the dangerous area and started looking for help.
The pup soon found sanctuary in the hands of experts at CAMO Rescue. At first, he was understandably overwhelmed. But he eventually settled, perhaps understanding that he was finally safe.

“He was very scared and snappy, but has calmed down with some decompression time,” Holly Dool, founder and president of CAMO Rescue, told The Dodo.
Rescuers almost couldn’t believe Eddy had survived.

“We felt so sorry for him,” Dool said. “We wondered if he was dumped or a stray.”
Eddy quickly acclimated to life at his foster home. His rescuers delighted in learning all about his preferences and personality.

“He likes to do zoomies in the yard,” Dool said. “He loves kids!”
Now that he’s recuperated, Eddy is searching for a permanent family. The pup is crate trained, loves going outside and gets along well with other dogs. CAMO Rescue staff think that Eddy would thrive with patient parents who are familiar with dogs.
According to CAMO Rescue, Eddy loves people and often lies close to those he trusts. Hopefully, he’ll be cuddled next to his forever person sometime soon.
