‘Urine and feces everywhere’: sheriff’s office allegedly locates 60 dogs living in ‘inhumane’ conditions at Doyline woman’s puppy mill

A 58-year-old woman, Kimberly Crowley, is facing 72 charges of aggravated animal cruelty after allegedly dumping several dogs on a rural road in Webster Parish, Louisiana. The Webster Parish Sheriff’s Office (WPSO) investigated and discovered around 60 dogs living in poor conditions inside Crowley’s home. Many of the dogs were kept in cages without food or water, surrounded by urine and feces. It is believed that Crowley was operating an illegal “puppy mill.” She had also advertised dogs for sale on social media. After being confronted with evidence, Crowley suggested paying a fine to avoid further consequences but was arrested on March 6. Her husband, Alan D. Crowley, was also arrested on March 7 for his involvement. Other animals, including horses and pigs, were found on the property and appeared to be in better condition. The animals are being cared for and will be checked by a veterinarian.
