him dash into the grass. Refusing to leave him behind, she gently coaxed him out until he finally came to her.
“He looked skinny and dirty with a lot of fleas,” Breanna said.
She brought the puppy, now named Koa, home and gave him a bath. Though still nervous, he slowly began to relax. It didn’t take long for Breanna to decide—Koa wasn’t going anywhere. He was officially part of the family.
“He’s definitely gonna be a part of our family now,” she said.
